I didn't realize I was in both of your threads. Anyhow, try this - worked for me on three cars now: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=1728645

Got the horn fixed. It wasn't the relay swithc or anything with the lines but the steering wheel canceling ring is causing the problem. I got power going to it but nothing coming out of it so I can only assume that is the problem.

You may want to pull the horn/airbag and check the wiring/ring back there. It isn't hard but I highly recommend disconnecting the battery.

I found the canceling ring on your site but I found a whole steering column for the same price that came out of a car with only 60k on it so I think I may go with it. Its worth a shot.

Default Wiper, washer, horn not functioning - ignition switch?

I have lost function in the wipers, washer, and horn. I have tried swapping out the clock wheel/spring, wiper stalk, control module - no joy. And occasionally I turn the key and starter doesn't crank. Otherwise everything is fine. I'm stumped.

Could this be the ignition switch? I've always thought that was an on/off kind of thing?

Default 1996 - 2001 B5 A4 Long term fix for failing head light switch

The headlight switch will continue to overheat and stop working until this modification is installed. The relays installed will handle all of the headlight current that the light switch used to not handle to well at all.

I will attache a PDF of my drawing that I created and used to install the modification into my 1996 - 2001 B5 A4.

This will keep the heat out of the headlight switch and prevent any future failure.
