Hi,

I have Audi a4 b5 1997 1.8, automatic transmission none tiptronic.

I don't have reverse can anybody help what might be the problem???
Not totally I lost reverse, when I shift to reverse I can feel the transmission engaged to reverse and my car move like usual, but when I press the gas pedal it only rev the engine..

Can anybody know what happened to my car? or anyone have the same experience.

your tranny is going...you'll need a rebuild. At the very least you may want to change the tranny fluid and filter, but based upon what you've described the damage is already done and you'll need a new or rebuilt tranny.

Thanks for the answer. What specific part of the tranny is damage so I can know what parts are needed to change when I rebuilt it.

probably the syncros or other internal parts...but you have no idea without first taking it apart...there's no magic way of discovering that without getting into it.
