oil pressure sensor
Hi, I have Audi a4 b5 1.8, recently there was a leak on my oil pressure sensor, so I decided to replace it. Is it okay if I used different type of oil pressure sensor? the original is this one "OEM 028919081D"
the new sensor I used is exactly the same size like the OEM part. My concern is, is it working properly on reading my oil pressure?
Thanks for the reply

As long as you got a quality part that is specific to your model and had no issues installing it, i cant see any reason this would cause you any issues. Sometimes replacement parts can even look a little different from the original, as long as everything plugs in and functions it really doesn't matter what the part looks like.

Hi, another problem is that the oil is mixing with my coolant, what do you think is the problem of my car? The coolant on my tank looks like a milkshake.
I check my oil cooler and replace the O ring cause there is a leak on that part.
The other problem is that when I turn off the car, my coolant reservoir is overflowing.
I need help!

It is possible its the head gasket.
Also more probable it's the oil cooler or the oil filter adaptor bracket gasket leaking.
I just did an oil adaptor gasket on a 2.0 FSI engine. Its where the oil and the water run through journals very close together (similar to the head gasket but more susceptible to failure than the head gasket).
More annoying is how to successfully get all that old oil (milkshake) out of the engine and the cooling system when you finish.
Everyone has their preferred way, I just ended up buying the cheapest supermarket oil I could find and the cheapest oil filters. Ran the engine at idle till hot, flush, change filter, repeat. Then put the correct oil and a good filter on.
Getting it out of the coolant system is just as painful. Flush, flush, flush (repeat). Some owners can suggest a degreasing agent to assist, just be careful you don't end up introducing a new problem of too much detergent in the water. I am sure your local retailer will sell some additive to assist if you want to buy something.
The good news is the adaptor gasket and oil cooler gasket are cheap.

hi, Thanks for the help. I really appreciate your help. I have another question, it's about the transmission. I have automatic transmission. Whenever the car changed gear at low speed, I felt a bump when changing gear.
any suggestions? the last time I change the transmission fluid is last july 2013.
