Quick and easy 1998 A4 Hood question
I need to replace my hood on my 1998 A4 1.8T.
From what I understand, there are no sizing issues within year. The within-year issues fall for 1999 (1999 being VIN #s thru 199999; 1999.5 being VIN#s of 200000 and higher).
The mechanic I'm using is telling me that his supplier doesn't have the proper hood because of my VIN, although he had previously said that they had hoods for a 1998 A4.
Am I correct in what I'm saying above? That if they have a 1998 A4 hood, the VIN # is irrelevant?
