Default R.I.P. ... one more belly pan!

I hate everything about these belly pans from how expensive those weird little screws and clips are to how crappy the rear mounts are. I ripped mine off driving in the snice this weekend and it was hanging by one clip and full of snow.
I've searched and seen mention of custom belly pans, but no real details. Before i reinvent the wheel, has anyone done this? If so, what materials did you use, and how did you affix the pan?

Default I would just make one out of sheet aluminum, I've though about doing this myself...

Thogh $249 for the dieselgeek pan isn't too pad if you consider the material alone is ~$150 for a 36"by48" sheet of 0.125"

Default More than likely easy to make, But I know from when my my uncle made his truck...

bed cover out of aluminum, you can get soft or hard alloy, soft obviously easier to work with. And that the cost is not that cheap when you really start pricing out sheets or partial sheets of aluminum. Time to cut, fit, and trim the main pan and then fabricate the additoinal brackets that are included/needed with the panzer...
I think when mine dies I will just pay the $250 and be done. Spend the time on my motorcycles instead of the car.

Default Check my PP

I've made carbon pans before, but not for a couple years. All the carbon and carbon/kevlar pans we made are still around and in great shape. Absolutley bulletproof.

Default Bought my car with the pan already missing....

...I thought of replacing it, but if road noise is the only discomfort I can go without.
