Default same.. but engine noise is kinda loud too, especially w/ HKS intake/K04. That said I'm almost

at my breaking point and will have to purchase one. roughly 200 from dealership, doubt i'd get it there though, shokan still has these correct?! 70 bucks or so?

Default I run a plate under the dry sump pan to protect the belts, etc. it was very easy to make and works

well. I made it strong enough to take a good hit. My engine doesnt have a sump that hangs down and I use for belt protection - if I pop the dry sump belt off I gots no oil circulation so I thought it very cheap insurance.

So what happened between 2007 and now. I called a VW dealer about a replacement bellypan and they want $230!! Hardly the $50-$60 from this era. Is it just low inventory?

Yeah, I get that a lot.

Like he says, though, shipping will be pricey. They go by "dimensional weight", which is L X H X W -- up to a certain weight. Therefore the cost to ship one might be the same as six.

He should cut them in halves and include a bunch of zip ties and a small roll of duct tape.

Either low inventory NOW, or too much inventory THEN. =)
