Sorry if this has been asked before, but i could not find any info about it any other place.

The rear crossmember on my 98' A4 1.8 TQ is rusty, and i need to replace it. I was planning on getting a used one from another car, but i need to know which ones will fit.

Is the crossmember the same on every car, or does it need to be a quattro? Or does it need to be a 1.8tq?

Thanks alot for any answers, i am blind and new to this car!

The rear crossmember can come from any B5 Quattro, 1995-2001, Avant or Sedan, any engine type, inc. S4.

FWD cars don't have a rear subframe / crossmember.
