Default FWIW, my OEM RS4's were like that But deal with Achtuning professionally, they are generally

known as a well respected and proven company to deal with.

Default I would still call and let Achtuning have a chance to make things right before posting about it

but that's just me. I figure with the group buy and all, They might have to time to check some of the other orders before they go out.

Default David....

Bill from Hartmann Wheels is going to reply to you regarding the quality.

First things first, you know we do guarantee our wheels and if you are not happy we will give you a 100% refund.

Secondly, it would have been professional courtesy for you to keep this matter offline and at least give us a chance to make things right before posting. You said that you wanted to communicate to teh other GB members but you could have easily done this via email.

Lastly, I can show you a $500+ BBS wheel in our showroom that has imperfections in the paint. You are paying $650 for a set of wheels and expecting HRE quality here. We can certainly switch them out with some ones that may be a bit better but most every wheel I've ever sold including OZ and BBS have slight imperfections in the paint if you really go over them!

Bottom line is we want you to be happy so let's work something out. Give me a call and we can discuss the options. Also, keep an eye out for Hartmann's response.

We do our best to check wheels before they leave and technicaly they should be checked there also. For what ever reason those slipped through the system in place? Send them back to Achtuning we are happy to replace them.

Especially after repeatedly knocking the competition as "lower quality"...

Default Josh, I respect your company and how they do business- and even more so I respect you -->

But David has a right to post here reguarding the wheels- especially since he was the one that championed the group buy which brought revenue to your pocket... I would agree though, that any further discussion should be via e-mail, but as Kris Hansen, the community has a right to know.

In any case, your professional response has made me to decide that my next new wheels will be purchased through Achtuning. You are a credit to your company.

Default you know, i really don't think it's fair to say what he should have done before posting.

You could also say that someone should have inspected the rims closer before sending them out...
Besides that point, the original post in no way had an accusatory tone towards Achtuning nor did it talk down on Achtuning, but rather was looking for some advice from fellow enthusiasts. While i understand that the post, from your perspective, may be construed to put your company in a bad light, I do think that it's appropriate so that other memebers of the group buy can be mindful of possible similar imperfections in the wheels they have purchased.
I have to say that it does reflect very well of your customer service that you and the representative from Hartmann would care so much as to make this right for him in such an expedious manner. But, i do not agree that he has done anything wrong by posting on this forum. Just my two cents and obviously just one person's opinion.

Default I also disagree.....

after the all the posting I have read in saying that Achtuning wheels are the best in terms of quality and what not. I decided not to spend the extra money, $300 plus shipping more, and got the AAA Rims RS4 Reps. As far as the keeping things off-line I also disagree granted, yeah it was a mistake but that doesnt mean that someone cant maybe clear up the whole argument of Achtuning vs. Others in the quality department. Even if it was only one person, it was still 4 wheels that "slipped"? I have nothing against Achtuning and believe that they didnt intend for this to happen, but I do think its fair to let some of the people know that in the quality department there wheels arent as superior as everyone has made them out to be.
