Default Red gauge illumination gone from all Audis for MY2000?

I just read the First Drive write-up of the 2000 A6 4.2 quattro in the June issue of Road & Track. One of the changes to the interior of the A6 (compared to the 2.8 model) is the white illumination of gauges with a red pointer. Is this chnag being made across the board on all Audi models? I kind of dig the red night illumination.

I like the red gages too. Everyone that rides in my car always says, "Cool Dash!"

I agree! It is the first thing people notice. I have made quite a few Passat owners think twice about their UFO blue!!

Default I hope not

I like it, plus it's easy on the eyes. Long (at least 6 hours) drives at night in my VW with green ilumination would leave my eyes sore and strained, simmilar drives with the red Audi lighting had no such effect on my eyes.<p>Regards,<br>Rodney<p>'99 A4 1.8tqms
