SAIP delete roll call (i'm looking at you modifieda4 and pscheoverdrive) BSK perhaps?
I am constantly tempted to do this. Now that I have a fmic coming my way I kind of have to delete or relocate. I would prefer to delete though as a few of the parts are failing as is.
I know pscheoverdrive's writeup for it is a little long winded (some of the steps are unnecessary) and there is some debate whether or not the resistor even works.
So, Can this be done without throwing codes in the long run? I no longer suffer from the secondary air incorrect flow cel but my car does sound like a dirtdevil upon start up.
Roll call for who has a delete on what year car and if it is working or not.

you will throw codes.
ive been running without a pump for well over a year...only because ive been too lazy to work on the reloc project.
my plan is to reloc it under the intake manifold.
if you are running without it, but still have a combi valve, make sure you disconnect the vac line to the valve.

maybe later model years can detect an open circuit at the pump,
so the resistor would fake the pump being there.
But the codes we get from the ECU have nothing to do with the pump. It is feedback from the O2 sensors.
therefore I highly doubt the resistor does jack **** for us.

He's right - I had to get my codes tuned-out. Of course, given a scanner, you can just
clear them yourself, but you won't pass emissions. Think about when your next inspection is (or if you have one) and whether you'd pay to get the codes tuned out. It shouldn't be too hard for the tuner, and therefore not too expensive.

a blast from the past...
I just bought a house as of this past August in Fairfield so I'm up there now. I own a garage now, which the A4 has only been in once. lol.
My rents are still in Darien, so Im around town occasionally.
Still in school?
