Default Sticky Center console buttons.

Hey folks. I have a 2001 A4 Quattro. The air conditioning/heat buttons at the bottom of the center console stick, and I'm thinking the previous owner might have spilled soda on them or something. I'd like to dig into the center console a bit to see if this is indeed the case, and if need be do some cleaning.

Does anyone have a tutorial on how to take apart this portion of the interior apart?

i would just try some cleaning products and an air compressor spray the product on the buttons down the sides of them and all then blow the air in the gap also it would remove the sicky stuff i do it all the time on cars im cleaning and it gives no eletical problems the air once you have blowen it away drys out what is left of the liquid it also works on sticky window buttons
