Hey guys,

I'm trying to replace the bulbs in the tail lamp for a '01 A4 except I'm not sure what each bulb is from top to bottom.

Upper Most = ???
Second from Top = Turn Signal
Third from Top = Backup Light
Bottom = Dual Filament Brake Light

I would appreciate the help. Is the top bulb going to be the same as the bottom one?

I figured it out.
The top bulb on the passenger side should remain empty. The top bulb on the drivers side tail light is a fog light! Audi models had 1 rear fog light during this time.

So:

Drivers Side (Left Hand Drive Vehicle of course)

-Fog Light
-Turn Signal
-Backup Light
-Brake Light

Passenger Side
-Nothing
-Turn Signal
-Backup Light
-Brake Light
