Default Blog #12: Round 2 of the project

I came home from the meet last night to a very large UPS freight package in the driveway....RS4 bumper et al from Eric@SPP
WOO HOO! Thank you sir

Has anyone done a complete write up on how to heat form, etc the bumper? I know a couple of great body shops that i would like to have do the work, but I'd like to arm them with some knowledge of how to best work the RS4 bumper to standard fenders.

Anyway I hope to have it on the car by the end of the year... this will be a post tuning mod.

Looks like that will be your only non-A4 body work so far, from your sig pic. More?

Default you ever heard of "water shrinking" the bumper?

i forgot who mentioned this to me.. something along the lines of you soak the bumper in warm water for a few days... then pull it out and cool it right away.. it helps "shrink" the bumper

Yep Polymers work like that. The water has to be kept at constant heat though for 3 days.

Default TJ: Did you get my voicemail? EDIT: YGM.

If you just need the 058-198-217 tensioner seal, you may be better off sourcing it locally as its only $9.13 list.

Default Don't you do some work with MarkP?

I'd imagine you have his number. I'm sure you've seen his and it looks great. He had a quick and dry write up on the S4 forum.
