Thinking of selling the audi. Need a tow rig for my race car.
I know modifications don't necessarily increase value. However, do any off you think I'm out of line asking for 13k? or what do you think would be a reasonable offer?
97 A4 1.8t quattro. 5 speed. Sport package.
Bose. Casablanca White. Paint in decent shape, but not perfect.
APR chip
APR exhaust
Koni struts/eibach springs
A-pillar boost guage
LLtek grill
S4 rims
15 inch oem allows with Nokian hakka 1's for winter.
93k miles
Had timing belt changed at 60k
New control arms around 80k.
Why would I sell? Need to buy a tow rig for my race car. Don't really want to sell it, but it makes sense to.
TIA

Can you loan me 10k interest free? Need the money from the audi to buy the tow rig.
If I had a spare $4k I'd be happy. Buying a british race car=money pit. I can only have so many toys, unfortunately.
I'm considering all options at this point. Even getting rid of the race car.
Heck if I could find a hitch. I could put the race car on a tow dolly(race car is road legal).
race car only weighs 1200lbs.

That's a good option then. I tow lots of things with my A4 (I hope yours is quattro).
you couldn't tow the race car on a trailer, but could surely tow it with a dolly. look into that...
Ever thought about driving the race car to the track?

"ever think about driving the car to the track?" Yup, done that. Problems occur when it breaks. ...
It was rendered undrivable at one event. Had to do some serious wrangling to get it back home. Its a mini. it doesn't give me a whole lot of room to bring tools etc; if I were just to drive it to events. Most events that I would like to attend require camping as well, which means I need more space.
Where did you get your hitch?
TIA

Dunno, was on the car when I bought it. works well, I tow a small boat sometimes.
mini....ok, yeah just find a dolly to tow it with the A4, and you can use the A4&mini to carry track stuff like wheels and such.

I got my hitch from hitchweb...
... there are some pics in my picture poster. The hitch is a da'Lan hitch for our A4s. It is rated at 2000lbs and 200lb tongue weight. I wouldn't think about towing that much but your 1200lb car on a dolly would be ok. Try searching this forum for dalan... there is lots of good stuff on hitches. Our A4s are certainly not tow vehicles but for the odd thing, the A4 is fine. I tow a small boat a couple times a year and a small utility trailer up at the cottage.
