Lowered car, hit rock, here's the damage, best fix? PICS
2001 A4 1.8t manual quattro
I recently lowered my car and just so it happens that on a select mountainous New York rock that has a fallen rock zone I hit a boulder maybe half the size of a football. I also scraped the ground in a couple of places (note. the car isn't even that low) I'm sure one of those impacts did additional damage.
Anyways the front lower subframe brace and it's mounts are bent and dented. I was thinking of going to home depot and just getting a rigid chunk of steel to replace it with. But my question is, are these spots too bad to work with and should I just replace the mounts they go up on aswell, i can always unbend them.
PS: haven't slept yet, sorry for any errors.
