I have a 2000 Audi A4 quattro 1.8T. I recently had to have my automatic transmission changed, the car ran good at first then the next my the gears wont engage at all. The vag-com reading says incorrect gear ratio. Anyone have any idea what could be wrong now? or is this transmission toast to.

First thing to always check, and correct if necessary, is the fluid level. It has to be done correctly, with the engine running the entire time, or it will not be right. Once you've done that, see if it still won't work.

Yes the filling process was done correctly. And level is good

What codes did the vagcom scan show? Was the transmission rebuilt or swapped for used unit? Did you notice the gears slipping or harsh engagement when shifting before? The problem could be as simple as bad ATF fluid, poor connection from a sensor, or a dirty solenoid in the valve body of the transmission.
