I have an A4 B5 2001 with 1.8tq AWT engine, it has a stage 1 chip from o.c tuning rated at ~195HP and my Turbo seal went bad this week and I want a K04 turbo upgrade.

Can I just bolt on K04 without anything else? I don't want more than 210 hp it is just for replacement and thop end hp since original turbo does not give enough airflow at high rpm

Do i need new fuel injectors? Or anything else?

from what i understand, the k04 will bold on, but because of its bigger size you'll experience turbo lag

I have driven with K04 for about 3 weeks now.
Adjusted fuel pressure from 3 to 4.5 bar.

Seems to be running just about perfect, much better than the old one felt like gained at least 20 hp and holds the boost longer at all gears (mabye old had a stuck og just bad/worn wastgate.

But now there is a noise in inputshaft to gearbox making lots of bearing noise (started about 3-4 months about)

I wish I upgraded to k04 many years ago, it was alsow a fairly easy job on a lift😊😬

Also about the same or mabye less turbolag

That sounds great. . I recently bought an a4 for a steal ($800) and I might want to do that
