What is this tube for?

Hi, today I heard a strange sound coming from under my car. I found out that it came from this tube near the jacking spot on the right front tire, It had snapped in two
Does anyone know what this tube is for; and is it hard to replace?

I Think its the fuel tank vent pipe. It carries the tank fumes to the engine bay.
