Does anyone have any info as to when the next re-design of the a4 will be. My 36 Mo. lease expires in June 99 and I want a new audi A4, but not the same car I just had. I realize now there is 30 valve, but this isn't enough newness for me. <p><p>Any info on a re-design? Should I wait for the new model or look elsewhere? I'm sort of a new-model freak, so any suggestions on other cars that would be comprable to the A4.?<p><p>BTW, I love my A4! The warranty is awesome. I will not have to put one extra cent or maintenance<p>into the car, knock on wood, during the entire <p>lease period. Awesome!<p><p>Thanking you in advance for your replies. A4 #1

The brand new A4 will be coming out in Europe in about 9-10 months as the model year 2000 model. In the USA we will get that car the FOLLOWING year during model year 2001. What we will be getting for model year 2000 is the S4 (in the current body style, of course). <p>The 1999.5 A4 will have quite a few exterior and interior modifications so that it will look significantly different although nothing essential will have changed. A6-style headlamps, different B-pillar, revised location of headlight washers, revised rear-end?, red overhead lighting, revised instrument panel, new cup-holders, and color keyed steering wheel, power passenger's seat (2.8), A4 logo on inside door sill. A few more things too.<p>I would say lease one of those for 24 months and then get the NEW A4 in 2001

Maybe one needs to see it in the flesh, but so far I haven't seen anything that improves on the '95-to-date A4 styling. I have a feeling this iteration will go down as one of the all-time greats.
