2003 A4 Cabriolet Mass Airflow Sensor Transmission Limp
I think my 2003 A4 is in what I've seen people call "transmission limp". When I first start it it stays in first gear on the display and I can't change it, but after putting it in Park then Drive again all the display says "PNDR" all lit up at once.
I have 2 OBD II codes for the system being too lean (both banks), so could the MAF be causing the limp? And would cleaning it help? If so, how feasible is it and would something like this work (

What code tool did you use? If a generic, it won't read transmission codes. The MAF won't cause the transmission to go into limp. There is another issue as indicated by the PRNDL lighting up. You need a VAGCOM reader that will read VW / Audi specific codes.
