Never looked into it on the B6. Does it not share brake fluid with the brake system? My Nissan does, so assumed it shared fluid.

It all shares the same master cylinder. Also I was looking at the papers for the clutch. The fly wheel has been converted from dual mass to single mass ?

It does share the reservoir but thats all, even if the clutch side leaks it all out, the feed tube is higher than the minimum in the reservoir so it wont affect brakes so no need to do anything with them.

Well bled the slave cylinder and still nothing. Solid fluid all the way through the line. Bled about a cup of fluid out.

Ah. On my Nissan, that is not the case. Thanks for correcting my error.

As far as linkage, I don't know the answer to that. I just know they can get bent.

Finally, single mass flywheel. When I was looking into this, there are appropriate single mass flywheel replacements that are cheaper than dual mass. I have one on my current A4 and the only difference is the shift quality is more abrupt versus a dual mass. So, if the shop replaced with an appropriate flywheel, you should have the issue you are having.

Hmm. Ok. The clutch was replaced with a valeo clutch kit. I'm going to replace the slave cylinder and hope that it works and get a microscope camera up in the bell housing and have someone operate the clutch and see if anything is binding up.

Still not shifting. I have 5th and reverse and sometimes 4th. I ran a borescope into the bell housing and had someone operate the clutch. Slave cylinder is fine and working properly and the fork is operating ad it should. Any ideas ?

Maybe Prospeeder has more ideas...

Valeo kit should be good. One further question: was it ever shifting okay after the initial work?

Just to be clear, if you turn off the engine, and put it in said gears, start it, does it go into these gears? Or does it just lunge forward like the clutch is not disengaged? Or nothing happens? Or grinding and it kicks out?
