AEB valve head on AWM?

From what I understand the AEB heads have larger ports, what I was wondering is if it would be compatible on my 1.8 b6 block?

Yes, but it would require you to also use the AEB intake and you would no longer have provisions on the back of the head for the Sai pump inlet.

So in actuality it's more trouble than its worth, and to just stick with the original head it came with. It seemed my b5 passat with a AEB I had before my A4 b6 was more torqy or maybe the car was just lighter

I'm assuming you had the later AWM engine, but I think you are feeling 2 things: a) 600 or 700 pounds less heft and 2) mechanical losses associated with quattro.
