I have a 2003 1.8t bex engine I have a problem under acceleration when my foot goes half way or further I get this loud errrrrr and crackling sound from under the car near from where turbo location

I have changed all the exhaust and also turbo to cat gasket still have the problem. I won't hear it much at motorway speed or cruising when I'm lightly touching the accelerator only when I need to accurate hard

Does anyone know of this problem is it pipes cracked or turbo itself

No mine revs fine at idle no noise at idle just when in any of the gears and I hit pedal hard

Hmm, doesn't sound like SAI. Did you check the flex hose that connects the turbo to the exhaust? Can you make a video and attach?
