B6 to B7 bi-xenons retrofitted, DIS high beam warning
Hello, I upgraded my B6 front on my cab to B7 completely and now I'm using a 2008 B7 bi-xenon headlights with DRLs. Everything works great, but have a problem with DIS warning message which appears 90% of starting up my engine, saying "left/right main beam headlight" is wrong. I think the problem is that B6 have a set of H7s + solenoid on D1S for high-beams and B7 have only solenoid in D1S and no added bulb fur high beams - so even with right coding (I hope to have it coded right by Vag-Com), the resistance of the high-beam system is to low to make ma car thinks everithing is OKay. I think that the resistance is not to far from the value I need to not to display warning, because when the car gets warm and even in sunny weather, there is not any warning. Thank you for any suggestions how to solve this.

Hey NoiseR - did you ever figure this out? I did the retrofit years back, but just upgraded my DIS with the wiper stalk and now get the same error message as you.
I haven't experienced any issues with the Xenon's, no flickering etc, so I don't expect that the ballasts are bad. I've done a bunch of searching but thus far have only found dipped headlight issues and resolutions.

I didn't You have the same setup as I do? B6 upgraded to B7 front? I think the problem is, that B6 have high-beams + bi-xenon solenoid and B7 has just bi-xenon solenoids. Have no resolution right now, if you will figure this out, will be sooo glad to know.

Hello!
I did the same swap fully converted audi b6 cabrio with xenon headlights to b7 frontend with bi-xenon headlights!
I have the same problem with this!
Our problem I think I will resolve tomorrow i will put resistor between (on original B6 10pins conector) mainbeam pin 1 and ground pin 8 after that i think the car should think that there is a h7 bulb!
What did you do with Daylight running lights!
I can`t figure out how to switch they off when I switch to parking light or mainbeam!
Thanks
