Default Buying a 2004 Audi A4

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I have been looking at a couple of Audi's for a while and wanted to see what everyone thinks about them. Both have maintenance records and have had major routine maintenance done recently. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions please! I will attach links of the craigslist ads here:

I've had my '04 for about 2 yrs. It's a 3.0 quattro convertible and has been a reliable car. I can't speak for the 1.8, but it seems to be the more popular engine. As with any used car, due diligence on the maintenance records is important.
Good luck

Default 2004 A4

I also just picked up an 04 A4, I hear valve clatter after a couple months, any suggestions? Burns a little oil...and uneven tire wear as the guy had two sets of tires, between front and rear, didn't even notice...should I just replace w 4 new tires because its quattro?

There is an Audi spec on the total variation between the largest and smallest tire diameters, this to avoid wear on the drive train. I don't know what it is though.

Owners manual state "Max thread difference 3/16 or less."Also highly recommend identical tires.
