Default Should I be concerned?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/108769/changepost8.jpg"></center><p>Hi guys,

I was out the other day under the hood, and noticed that I have oil residue all around the seal (not the most technical guy on here) that is highlighted in the piture above (sorry x1rider, I stole your pic, hope you don't mind). Should I be worried about this? The picture doesn't show it because it's not my engine, but it has been like that since I bought the car (2 years ago). The oil goes all the way around the engine. Doesn't look fresh, but it's still there...Potential problem? Thanks for your help!

Your valve cover gasket needs replacing. Mine does too.

Default same here, but mine is pretty bad

And my injectors have filth around them.

I posted on this last week and got some good links for valve cover gasket and the fuel injector gasket. LEt me dig them up.

Do you smell any burned oil when you come to a complete stop&gt;?

Default Not a fun Issue...

...but hopefully (and unlike my previous ride) you'll get the valve cover gasket replaced and all will be well for some time. Keep a sharp eye on your oil level, however, as this will be indicative of how serious a leak it is/was.
