Default Which hose is this? Pics

Hi there

Have a CEL code p1136. Most people on google say vacuum leak. I'm not a mechanic At all but I got lucky and found a leaking hose as soon as I popped the hood.

But I have no idea what the hose is and what replacement hose to order. I'm hoping someone can help. It's a short hose only maybe ten inches long and 1/4 inch wide and it's near the oil dipstick and mostly out of view except for the one end

Here's the start of the hose and the leak

Here's a zoom out showing the location of the hose

And here's where i traced the other end of the hose too. It's underneath and out of sight when you look top down at the engine bay. It's the one to the right of the Orange hose that goes into the silver box

I believe that runs to the N249 valve which recrics your turbo. Part of the "EGR" (1.8t doesn't have a conventional EGR system) system on the car. Take a look at the links below, the first 3 showing diagrams and pics. The last one is a full discussion of the complicated vacuum system on the 1.8 courtesy of "Old Guy" over on the AZ forum.

I would go buy a roll of vacuum line and go through and replace any that look suspicious. Chances are if there there is one bad one there will be more, and vacuum line is cheap.

You could also bypass the N249. Use new vac line to connect from that plug to the DV then another small piece to loop between the intake and output on the N249 to avoid getting any codes. DV will now run of manifold vac and allow for better turbo response. Mind you, you won't be getting 15 extra HP but since I did it on mine throttle response is a bit more crisp. Some have said it comes on too suddenly for their taste.
