Hey guys I'm trying to see if anybody has a walk thru on how to clean my MAF. Car is running a little rough at idle and since I've never cleaned this, i figured it might be a good start.
Ive done all the searches and I've gotten back some results but it seems all the pictures have broken links on the walkthrus i have found. I need to see if anybody can help me with a DIY but with pictures. Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks again.

Youtube has a bunch of videos on cleaning MAF.....safest Bet....remove the MAF from the turbo inlet pipe....Blast it with the cleaner (10 sprays what CRC brand I think states)...air dry a few minutes and reinstall.......

Hi,
Here is a link from Youtube on how to clean the MAF:
In case that doesn't fix your issue we do carry the original part.
Here is the link.

I just cleaned the MAF sensor in my 04 1.4t today. Before today, all 4 cylinders were misfiring. After cleaning, CEL went away and it was no longer idling rough on a cold start but I'm still getting one fault code. And CEL came back later in the day.
17519 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Regulation: Bank 1
P1111 - 002 - System too Lean
This is the only engine fault code I'm getting now. The car idled fine when I disconnected the wire to the MAF so does that mean it's okay or needs to be replaced?
