Nate A4 B6

I had to jump start my 2003 A4 B6 1.8T Q today. Emergency Flashers came on immediately and would not turn off. They stayed on even after I completely removed the flasher switch. They alternate between a normal flash rate and a higher rate when I press the Emergency Flasher Switch. Directionals work fine but when I return to stalk the neutral position the flashers stay on. I had to disconnect the battery to get them to turn off. Any suggestions?

Most likely your alarm siren module has gone bad. It has button type Nicd batteries, and they leak eventually and causing the circuit board go bad. If your circuit board can be cleaned, people have diy'd new batteries in it. It is a sealed module and have to be cut open. It is in the trunk area on the right hand side. Google Audi A4 B6 Alarm siren and you should get a few hits. In the mean time you can disconnect this module connector and resolve the battery drain problem.
