Fuel gauge misreading and rear window on driver's side is not working
I have a 2003 Audi A4 1.8QT
My fuel gauge is not reading properly. I have tried to take out the fuses and put them back in. This helped the issue at first, but after a day it went back to reading as empty on the gauge and the indicator light for low fuel also comes on.
I figure it is the sending unit after reading through some posts, but any other feed back is welcome.
Also on a side note, my rear driver's side window isn't rolling up or down. I've seen a few DIY tutorials on replacing the Window Regulator, but I am not sure how to tell if this is the problem. I just don't really want to spend $100+ on a part if that isn't the problem.
Any help is much appreicated!

Hi.
Possibly the sender unit, however bear in mind the Quattro has a saddle fuel tank which has 2 sender units (1 each side) to calculate a combined fuel quantity.
Regarding the rear window, check the wiring loom in the door shut/hinge area (in the rubber sleeve), for broken wires. Does the switch click when operated? You could unbolt the motor from the lifter and retry it to see if the lifter has jammed.

Hi sorry cant help you with the fuel gauge problem.
But in the event it's not a motor or regulator problem i just finished doing a quick fix on the drivers door controls the glass on the drivers door was not working, so i took off the door upholstery checked the connections everything was good, then i decided to try and clean the switches for the windows as best as i could with some electronic contact cleaner put the door back together and so far everything is working again, so you can try and clean the switch for the relevant door hope this is helpful.
