Default Having to change front axle again

Hey Guys,
Only had my 2002 Quattro 3.0 for a couple of years now but I have had to replace the drivers side axle twice within a 3 month period.
Just over this past week I have been noticing a vibration. I put it down to the road surface but today we were driving back home and it got really bad. I noticed that it only happened when under load. The minute I took foot off gas, the vibration went.
Got home, jacked up front and there it was, cv boot with a gaping hole in it.
What would cause me to go through two brand new front axles within 3 months ?
Thanks

If it was aftermarket, anything's possible. Where did you get them?

Yea, I was wondering about that. Got from autozone. Only reason I keep going there is the axles have lifetime warranty. It's getting old keep changing them though.
If this one goes bad I was going to go dealer part

Check out Raxles.com. A lot of A4 owners, including myself, have purchased them. I've only had mine for a few months so I can't speak about long term durability, but so far so good.

I use GKN which I believe is the actual original manufacturer.
No issues so far.
