heated mirrors retro fitting?
I've read some old posts on the forum for people who have retro-fitted heated wing mirror glass as the cable looms were already in place on other Audi models.
It is surprising that Audi does not have this on a quality car as all my previous cars have had heated mirrors and makes such a difference in the winter.
Can anyone tell me if my A4 B6 Cabrialet 2005 has the wiring in the mirrors so I can simply by the heated glass ?
Thanks

So didn't realise that you need the rear heater on for mirrors and it only works when cold so tried that today as it's only 1 deg C outside but they didn't heat up.
Popped off the glass to find that the glass did not have the heat element but there were the cables for heated mirrors so will buy some and fit.
I can't believe this is not standard!? Every car I've owned has them.

Audi is capable of cheaping out sometimes. I can't remember if it was 2015 or a year or two earlier, but I was looking at buying a new A4. The only way to get a fold-down rear seat was to buy a 2500 option package. I was so pissed I walked away, then found my present B6, low miles, orig owner, dealer serviced. And a better car anyway.

Not sure how the mirror wiring goes, but some cars had the "anti-dazzle" (autodimming) mirrors. Maybe there was a wire for those?
Also, adding a feature not shipped on a particular car can cause the ecu to act up. Maybe speak to an Audi expert before you dive in there. GL.
