Default hood release trouble

I have an a4 and recently the hood release handle broke off so I can't open the hood..I heard pulling the cable that was under the handle would open it and tried and tried but nothing... any other way to open the hood??

Yes mate, there is I had the same problem whilst I was in the process of repairing my EGR fault.

Here goes, it's a 2 men task, the first man presses down hard on the hood, the second man pulls the cable, pop it opened. This I learnt from the AA guy as I was about to take my car to AUDI. GOOD LUCK.

You can also release the hood from underneath the vehicle. Drop the belly pan and grab a long screw driver. There will be a tab on the latch you can view from underneath that you'll want to push to the right. This will release the hood.
