it worked for a second then cut out etc...
The filament appears fine, upon closer inspection, it appears the rear housing and clip for the indicator assembly has snapped and the housing is loose...wtf?
the seal and housing are just kind of hanging there leaving whatever unseen electrics etc in that housing that are hidden from view exposed to the engine bay, clearly this has to do with it, but the car hasnt really been over any heavy bumps lately, weird that the clip broke the way it did and the seals just popped off...hmm.

These are Xenons so slightly different in that the hatch is closer to the light as it doesnt have ignitor and leveling assembly there, its pretty hard to see as theres a big airvent covering that portion in the 2.0, but basically...
1: the hatch is hanging kind of loose, not attached to the light assembly.
2:the plastic clip that the metal latch is hooked to has snapped off the hatch itself which is why the hatch is hanging loose, not held by the metal latch anymore.
Cant work out how this could have happened.

weird, well I know it's very important that those areas stay closed for xenons
if not, water gets in and goes directly into the xenon ballast. For halogen I don't think there would be as much concern, but you still don't want all that dirt/dust kicked up by the engine swirling through and filming up the insides...
