How to fix clear coat?
So I've looked around, and it looks like I need to polish my roof to hopefully fix my clear coat issues.
Total noob to this. I don't have a lot of money for anything fancy. Can you recommend me the type of polish, and buffing tool I should get?
Budget about $50 for everything. I have so many expenses right now, but I want to preserve the paint on this baby.

Yours looks pretty bad, cracked and separated....I have a black car with similar problem, except that mine looks like matte black WITHOUT the cracked and separated look. Looks cool actually so I won't bother with it. I think because I had an aluminum bike rack on top the salt and aluminum contributed to the demise. Anyway, how about getting someone to wrap the top panel with 3m or Gerber material? Matching or contrasting color? Alternatively, you can get a stage 2 clearcoat in a "rattle can" from your local paint store that will cover this area. You would have to wetsand the top first, maybe down to 2000 grit before applying the clear.
