Jet engine noise even when warm, any ideas?
I've tried researching my symptoms and noise is related to SAI pump, but doesnt that only come on when its cold? Winds down when i turn off the car also.

A bad SAI pump when it starts to fail will be pretty noisy. Could also be a cooling fan kicking on.
Pop the hood and see if both fans are running when you experience the noise.
I get the winding down sound when I turn my vehicle off as well. It's usually just the cooling fan.

Sorry for late response. Okay so I popped open the hood, turned on the car, then hurried to the front of the car. Then took a flashlight and saw that both fans were running, but no noise. Turned off the car. Heard the noise winding down and both fans were running. Noise did seem to stop when fans stopped but maybe it was just coincidence. Not sure.

Lets separate the 2 issues:
1) Agree the SAI can make a "jet" noise when going bad, so that might be your problem. BUT...
2) If you car is cold and your cooling fans are running (the 2 fans at the front that that you can see turning...you can't see the SAI turning ), it is something else. It could be your green coolant temp sensor at the back of the engine or the fan control module. So, what exactly was you coolant temperature and setting on your A/C (i.e. was your ECON button pressed or not).
