Lower oil pan
Just receive the lower oil pan for my A4/B6 V6. I noticed two small ports, one along the side of the oil plug and the second on the opposite side of the pan. The one along the plug side is about 3mm and the other 4mm; both threaded. Any idea what they are for? Neither port has access to the inside of the pan.

Depending on where you got the pan, it could be a generic pan for Audi / VW V6's (2.8, 3.0, and or 3.2) and are mounting points for hoses, cooling lines, or who knows what.
