Need help with Audi A4 1.8 03 Engine Problem
I just did a motor swap in my car and the motor will not start. I have gotten it running once or twice before but it wont start. You can hear it starting to start but it wont fully start. The motor spins like theres no fuel. What could it be?

Theres just not enough info. I could rattle off dozens of things that could cause a no start. Pull codes, see if it complaining about a sensor reading, check connections at like crank sensor and maf, check for air intake leaks, like boost hose not on or things not hooked up or broken. check cam timing.

Yes fuel comes out when i put the valve and i am replacing the CamShaft Sensor hoping that is the problem. And yes i know the fuse is good for the pump i checked every fuse and i haven't checked the relay. The Timing Chain is correct. The boost hoses are all hooked up and the maf im not really sure how to tell if its good and there are no intake leaks

The engine should kick even with the cam sensor unplugged (I know this because I drove my 1.8T up the street after a timing belt change and it ran without the cam sensor plugged in). It doesn't run well, low power, no power acceleration, but it did start and run.
Did you do an adaptation when you re-installed the MAF?
I have a 2.0 FSI engine that would not start after I did some changes, after changing the cam sensor (as you are) and even the crank sensor trying to get it to start, I did a manual adaptation via the VCDS and everything was sweet. The book will tell you the ECU will do it automatically if you turn the ignition to on but not start, but mine had to be done manually. Worth a try.

The best things is to VAG it, otherwise it trial and error. So I guess fuel pump is not the culprit if you have fuel on the rail. I would also look into the ignition switch. Good luck.
