This is mainly a NA site, but assuming the 2.4 and 3.0 have similar electronics, it would appear to me that you have a major ECU problem, whether it is power to the ECU or an internal electronic issue. What is the history of the vehicle?

hi thx for reply
I have had the car for 5yrs and it has been trouble free .I know the lpg system has its own ecu. like a lot of lpg cars the engine management light is often on.
the car is running reasonably well considering the current faults.
today an auto electrician said the same as you(ecu fault)im looking out for a replacement ecu.I have seen 2 that have the same part number but with an extra letter on the end.not sure if they are compatible?

If you write what the numbers are someone can generally look them up. Usually the different letter after the ECU number is due to whether the ECU was for Europe, USA or Asia Pacific. Most of the general parts are common part numbers except differences in the ECU's.

hi
my ecu part number is 8E0 909 552
the two ecu,s advertised are....8E0 909 552 R and 8E0 909 552 N
there are other numbers on the labels that are different but im told the part numbers should be the same?

ALL SORTED.FUSE 34 BLOWN
I took it to auto electrician who charged for vcds scan he said too many faults to be short wire.he diagnosed major ecu fault.
I guess he was a cowboy as he should have spotted blown fuse.
