Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly Replacement
My 05 A4 1.8TQM large radiator cooling fan bearings are going bad and the fan is making alot of noise. Instead of just replacing the single fan I'm going to replace the entire assembly with this: Radiator Condenser Cooling Fan for Audi Fits A4 Cabrio Convertible 1 8 2 0 | eBay. I'm hoping to replace the assembly without removing the front of the car or draining the radiator. Does anyone have a DIY for this replacement?

That looks like the exact same one I got. I was unable to get the bumper off due to the massively torqued bolts that hold the bumper assembly to the bump shock towers.
The bumper will need to come off, and the radiator will need to be moved forward. It's called "Service Position". Essentially, the entire front end of the car will move forward about 4 inches.
This is essentially what's going on (2:18 is what held me back)..
I ended up just paying the $200 for a local shop to do it.
