Default 1.8T AMB - where is the EGT located?

Can't seem to find the location of the EGT sensor on the 1.8T AMB.
Anyone have a photo or schematic?

I don't believe the 1.8t has one. If it did, it would be near the turbine inlet after the exhaust. Why are you asking?

I am logging the values for EGT, so the data must be coming from somewhere.
Want to know location to interpret the absolute numbers (close to exhaust port, manifold, after turbo, etc.).

Ah. Again, not sure but I think the ECU gets "EGT"s from the front O2 sensor. Let me do a couple googles and see.

Well, being old, I am usually very bad at googling and finding things, but not this time. Here is a link to our buddies on AZ with confirmation of what I said previously. Also found on VWVortex a guy that seems to have a good discussion on a car that has installed a true EGT sensor in the exhaust manifold that might be intersting to compare to what you are getting in your mapping from a sensor downstream of the turbo.

There is no EGT sensor. If you look through alot of the blocks, it has values for some really absurd things it somehow knows, like cat converter temp. its using different signals to come up with a guessed exhaust temp.
