Squealing accessory belt
My accessory belt broke in May, and I replaced it with a brand new contitech belt, new tensioner and replaced the roller also. Ever since then it squeals when I first start the car and the engine is cold, ie been sitting for at least 8 hours. Power steering pump was new in April.
Shortly thereafter I noticed a small coolant leak. I never did anything about it until now, I just assumed the coolant was dripping on the belt and causing the "morning squeal".
I just changed the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc and it still squeals. The coolant leak was leaking from the water pump, so that is fixed. Why does it still squeal??

I'm checking with another place now to see if I can get one. Sometimes I really miss the days of brass/copper radiators that can actually be repaired...

Same here Audi A4 2004
I'm new to Audi and only just got this car that has been worked on before I got it. I'm getting the similar noise drivers side when it starts and sometimes a short whine when driving. would like to know where to look.
