Fast idle on 1st start up

2008 A4 2.0 Revo, K&N
Ist thing in the morning when starting, the engine idles at 1200-1300. Goes away when warm. Doesn't happen when starting a warm engine. Is this normal? On my previous 2006 2.0 & 2003 1.8 that never happened. They were both chipped also. Vacuum leak? Thanks

My 08 A4 does the same thing... takes a sec to warm up then good to go...

no thats completely normal, the car will run a little higher when cold to warm up faster, i believe it reads the coolant temp, and once it reads a certain temp it goes to normal.
