2006 A4 2.0T, by my mistake i had P0089 code erased
that could be related to cam follower, cam and HPFP failure.
It's been 3 days and CEL is off. My question is : does this code or any other codes get stored in ECU and could be retrieved by dealer for extended warranty purpose( 10 years/ 120K) ?

Audi's tsb only states p2293, p0087, p1093 attributable to the cam follower failure. This is somewhat discounting in my opinion due to the myriad of things that can go wrong once it does happen.
P0089 is a bit of an enigma in the b7 world. There are a lot of guys that go on on without ever getting rid of it. Hopefully it's not there. I'm wondering if you scanned with a vag specific scanner. If not, I suggest you do.
P0089 is usually attributed to out of spec fuel pressure at the rail. Could be anything from a clogged fuel filter to a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator(highly unlikely since it's a little spring in a valve), or even the hpfp going out.
Like I said this is one enigmatic trouble code and is best to get access to a ross tech and scan/run logs. Your question on the relation to cam failure, I definitely wouldn't say no.

Sorry, yes there should be a DTC stored in the ECU memory along with the mileage, frequency, and at what rpm, temp etc...it's called the freeze frame. It should be there unless anyone cleared them.
