Default 2006 Audi A4 2.0T FSI S Line Special Edition

Hey, total newbie here.

Wondered if anyone had some general advice for maintenence?

I know it's the key to a long life and I want to take care of my new (albeit 2006) baby.

I.e. getting under, down and dirty doing a general clean of the surfaces and metal work - is it worth doing?

Also wondered opinions on if it was a good buy?

Nice car! At that mileage you are seriously due a new timing belt, Audi recommends a new belt at 115k. Do you have a maintenance history of the vehicle? If not, it's time to do everything, fuel pump cam follower, fuel filter, air filter, micro-filter, control arm bushings, motor mounts, coils fail without warning, get a couple to have on hand when they do. Do an oil change, check belts, brakes, etc.

Apparently Audi do a free health check at their service stations. May take it there for a full check then have my brother in law validate their findings... don't quite trust them to not rip me off! I know for sure the cam belt was done. Will need to look through the history properly. And yes it does have a very good FSH.

A good FSH is nice, when I bought mine it had no service history other than what was on the CarFax, which wasn't much... But I have done all the regular and required maintenance for the 60,000 mile vehicle, (as a side note, I got my B7 with exactly 60k miles for $8300), only thing I had to have the dealer do was reprogram the key fob, everything else was on me.
