Ok, I have no clue where to begin or end. I have a 2006 Audi A4 Sline 3.2. It doesn’t start and it doesn’t crank. The battery was trash so I purchased a new battery. The car only clicks but didn’t do anything more. I check the fuses, changed the fused by the ECU just to make sure as well. Nothing. Also, my keys won’t work. They won’t remotely lock or unlock my car. I know that could be the immobilizer or they keys need to be reprogrammed from what I read on the technical service manual. The thing that has me scratching my head aside from it not starting is that when I walked outside yesterday during a rain storm, the motor fans were on. I had that puzzled look on my face. As soon as I opened a door, the fans cut off. I tried to crank the car and it clicked like the battery was dead. I closed the car door and the fans came back on again. I disconnected the battery until I could look further into this. Does anyone have a clue of what it might be. I ordered a starter to make sure that isn’t it. The car has high miles but well taken care of and I just purchased the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After your replaced the battery, you need to resync the keys in order to remotely lock or unlock. I have 2005.5 A4 and A6 both starters have been replaced. It shows the same symptoms. Both have 110k miles when the replacment was done.
