Hey Gang

I am trying to trouble shoot why my license plate lights failed. The leds are good as a bench tested. But I am only getting 1.5 volts on the contacts.

There are 4 wires going into the bezel that contains the lights and trunk release. One side is producing 12 volts and the other side 1.5 volts. What I am unsure of is if the hareness delivers a separate 12 volt feed to the bulbs based on the lights being on or it delivers a low voltage SWITCH ON signal and there is a circuit in the bezal the switches the 12 volts on based on that signal.

Anyone know or have a wiring diagram?
