Default 2008 A4, RNS-E question

I have a 2008 Audi A4 (B7) with the RNS-E stereo system, and the 30-pin iPod dock in the glovebox.

I cannot find a clear cut answer to this question. Been searching for almost a week now, and with the AMI interface being seemingly more common, it is muddying google results so I can't find the answer.

I want to stream from my phone to Bluetooth music. It seems this is possible by plugging a Bluetooth to 30-pin iPod receiver. But I've seen a lot of different options for this, requiring adding power and plugging things in to the stereo.

What do I need to adapt the iPod dock in the glove box to receive streaming content from my phone to play over the stereo?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

No help here? Anyone have any suggestions or can point me to the right place? Right now, I've resorted to reading Amazon review to see what Bluetooth receiver works for other Audi owners, and what doesn't. Not ideal.

I for one am very interested to hear an answer to this. I have also been searching for ways to stream music via Bluetooth or aux without removing the unit. Hope someone has the answer.

Had the RNS-E in our 08 Cab and the best way to listen is to use the SD cards. I played with an IPod, IPod touch using the AMI cable and some blue tooth adapters and never worked as well as SD cards.
Our 16 on the other hand streams seamlessly and very quickly connects.

Many people have reported success using a Bluetooth receiver with the ipod to AMI cable. But I have the 30 pin iPod dock, and there's a lot less information about it.

I'd think it would just take a Bluetooth receiver plugged right in to the dock in the glovebox, and I may try that. But I'd like to hear that someone has done it successfully first.

Tune2Air by a company called Bovee works well.

Amazon Amazon

That one works if you already have the 30pin ipod adapter cable.

Amazon Amazon

This one works if you have the AMI interface.

Oh, forgot to mention, these WILL ALLOW you to use your steering wheel controls track forward/back.
