audi front bumper adjustment

audi front bumper adjustment
I have recently bought an s4. it's had a wee bump at the front nearside at some point. it's hardly noticeable but i'm quite fussy. There is a gap below the light and the equivelant gap below the wing to the bumper. it looks like the bumper needs lifted 2-3mm at the nearside. I imagine it's going to be expensive to put it to audi to fix but if it's a case of removing and refitting the whole bumper I may have to bite the bullet. I have tried to attach a few photos. the top 2 are the side with the bad fit the bottom 2 are the other side. which I presume is good.
can anyone help?

The Audi dealership near me would end up sending something like this out anyway. They only thing they would do is the hood strike (for bumper adjustment). I'd suggest calling the Audi dealer and asking what body-shops they use (assuming an out of house outfit). It doesn't look like that's a major adjustment and you could have it taken care of for maybe $75, or an hour's labor tops. There are a couple places to move the bumper around, and just ask them if they have experience with it before taking it in. My $0.02.

i happened to take my bumper off and put it back on again the other week due to installing new intercoolers. It is simple. You may not even need to adjust the bumper. If you loosen the bolts that hold the headlight, you can angle it down more to fill in the gap. You need T30 screwdriver. If you do find you need to adjust the bumper, the only special tool you need is a T30 extended (6" long) to stick down in the hole. There is a torx head that must be loosened to get the headlight out. However, you don't need to loosen this one to adjust the headlight. If you decide to tackle this yourself, i will help you with further instructions. I wouldn't pay, it is very simple. Besides, you're going to pay them and they may not do it exactly how you like. If you learn to do it yourself, you can adjust it EXACTLY to your liking. I did.

Ok. I didn't see your other 2 pics down there before i wrote that reply. Alright, here is what you have to do.....there are devices on each side of the bumper that allow you to adjust the height. You can try to do it while the bumper is still on. There are holes that you stick your T30 down in and turn clockwise to raise the bumper height. The holes are kind of toward the front of the bumper, but on each side. It looks like you only have to do it on that one side. If you can't do it, you will need to take the bumper off(you really don't even need to fully take it off). If you do have to peel the bumper back a little bit, it will be good for you to see exactly how the adjusters work. Then you will fully understand how to raise it or lower it. Look for B7 A4 or S4 front bumeper removal DIY threads. They will have pics and go into more detail. Good Luck!
