Audi Key Reprogram if locked out of the Car
Hi guys,
I've done a number of searches across this and other forums to try and find the answer before posting, so apologies if I missed the answer somewhere.
I got my 2005 B7 Audi A4 2.0L Serviced yesterday and all was well picking the car up from them and driving home, however this morning when I've gone to the car the Keyfob doesn't talk to the car.
A few things to note:
- The drivers manual is in the car so I can't access it
- The other KeyFob is at another house and without a car I can't easily get to it
- I've tried pushing unlock and within 60seconds manually unlocking the car to no avail
- I cannot get into the car to do the Ignition reset trick
I've also tried ringing the garage to whom serviced the car for the last hour but they haven't answered so I'm struggling to fix.
Please can anyone help me out with the proper combination of Unlock/Lock/Twist right/twist left to get this key to unlock the car
Many thanks!
Ryan

From my manual, procedure to reset key remote control operation
Just reread yout post - if someone had replaced the driver side key opening with a blanking plate, I'm pretty certain you will need your other key. Pretty useless to have a process to pair a remote without unlocking first, since it could mean anyone with an Audi fob could unlock your car by following a defined sequence of button pushes.
- if car already locked, unlock using key in driver side door
- press Unlock button on remote control
- insert key into ignitino and turn to on position (no need to start car)
- turn key back to Off position
- remove key from ignition
- press either Lock or Unlock button to complete reset sequence
